ADVANTAGES OF PE-Xb While the improved maximum operating temperature is one of the initial attractions of cross-linking, there are other advantages in comparison with uncross-linked polyethylene. l reduced deformation under load(creep) l improved ageing resistance l improved chemical resistance l improved abrasion resistance l improved impact strength l reduced rapid crack propagation (RCP), even at low temperatures l improved environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) l outstanding resistance to slow-crack growth The excellent mechanical properties shown by cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) have led to its use in the plastic pipe industry, where PE-X pipes are replacing pipes made from thermoplastic polymers, such as PP, PVC and uncross-linked PE of all types. SUGGESTION FOR THE BEST EXTRUSIVE SITUATION l Predry the catalyst master batch and color master batch at a temperature of 80-90℃ for 2 hours l Reasonable design head and die to obtain a streamline production l When the machine is restarted after blocking 10-15min,it must be purged by HDPE(MF1:0.3g/min) l It is better to use the material without broken bags PE-Xb storage l The storage life is six months if Suntown PE-Xb can be stored in a suitable condition l The package should be opened only before processing l Exposure to direct sunlight must be avoided l After opening the bags, the product must be used up within 4-5hours PE-Xb packing Graft Polymer: al-plastics and intertexture bags containing 25kg (95%A (Silane grafted ethylene polymer) 5% B (catalyst masterbatch) sealed under vacuum. |
